1.	Policy HOU19 of the Modified Deposit Version of the Borough-Wide Local Plan states that extensions and alterations to dwellings will be permitted where the proposal: (A) is in keeping with the design of the existing dwelling and the character of the area; (B) would not significantly affect the amenities of any neighbouring dwelling; and, (C) would not result in over-development of the site. The proposal is contrary to the objectives of this policy in that the proposed extension would, in view of its length, height and close proximity to the (northern) site boundary, have an overbearing and oppressive effect on the outlook from the adjacent bungalow, and the further adverse effect of the consequent loss of light to the living room windows of that dwelling.
