1.	The proposed trailer would, in view of its prominent positioning in front of the existing amusement arcade, constitute a visually obtrusive feature in the street scene. Its positioning and the associated activity likely to be generated would also impede the safe passage of pedestrians adjacent to a busy highway. Furthermore, the proposal, if approved, could set a precedent for the placing of other structures on the forecourt to the detriment of the visual and residential amenities of the area. The proposal is thus considered to be contrary to the objectives of Policy TR8 of the Modified Deposit Version of the Borough-Wide Local Plan.
