1.	It is considered that the proposed extension to the flat, in conjunction with the similar neighbouring proposals does not comply the requirements of Policy UDN5 of the Borough-Wide Local Plan as amended by the Suggested Changes report which require that alterations and extensions should be sympathetic to the buildings character and setting and will be considered in the context of the Borough Council's supplementary design guidance. Furthermore, given the prominent elevated location the property occupies the extension would be an unduly conspicuous feature, architecturally out of character with the existing property and detrimental to the visual amenities of the locality.
