| 1. | The Borough Council, as Local Planning Authority, considers that the site
is an inappropriate location for the use proposed. In particular, the
inclusion of a mortuary facility is likely to have, in terms of public
perception, an adverse effect on the adjacent food orientated businesses
and, in respect of the occupiers of the adjacent first floor flats (which
are occupied independently of those businesses), a detrimental effect on
their amenity of outlook when coffins are brought in and out.
The Council further considers that the access track at the rear of the
premises is inadequate, in terms of its width and construction, to cater
for the type of business proposed. |
