| 1. | The proposed sign would cause unnecessary distraction to highway users negotiating the adjacent road junction and would adversely affect the safety and free flow of traffic, to the detriment of highway safety and for this reason is considered contrary to Policies ADV1 and ADV9 of the Deposit Version of the Great Yarmouth Borough Wide Local Plan. |
| 2. | The sign is also considered detrimental to the visual amenities of the area and if permitted would set a precedent for further signs the cumulative effect of which would further significantly detract from the quality of the environment. It is for these reasons as well that the sign is considered to be contrary to the policies referred to above. |
