1.	The proposed sign would stand out as a discordant and unduly conspicuous feature in this area of open countryside and would, therefore, be detrimental to the visual amenities of the locality, which is included in the County of Norfolk (Area of Special Control) Order, 1961. Moreover, the proposed sign would be contrary to the provisions of Policies ADV1, ADV3 and ADV9 of the Deposit Version of the Borough-Wide Local Plan (which are subject to "Suggested Changes") which seek to protect the amenity of the countryside and built environment, and safeguard highway safety.
2.	The proposed sign will cause unnecessary distraction to highway users at the junction of the A149/B1152 crossroads, to the detriment of highway safety.
