The erection of two dwellings would, by virtue of the restricted size of the plot frontage, give rise to a cramped form of development which which would be detrimental to the rural character of the locality. Furthermore the likely proximity of the proposed development to the eastern boundary of the site would be detrimental to the residential amenities at present enjoyed by the occupiers of Stone Cottage by reason of overshadowing and loss of visual amenity.
