The proposed signs would detract from the appearance of the area by virtue of the number proposed on the Blackwall Reach frontage of the site resulting in an unnacceptable clutter of signs, with an adverse effect on the appearance of the adjacent Conservation Area and a detrimental affect on the outlook of the the occupants of the nearby residential properties. Moreover the provision of two signs on the Riverside Road frontage will further contribute to the clutter of signs in this locality.
