1.	The proposal constitutes an overdevelopment of this relatively modest sized plot which would be out of character with the general pattern of development in the area. Moreover, no provision has been made for the turning of vehicles within the site which is considered necessary in the interests of highway safety. (Such provision, coupled with the essential allocation of space for off-street parking in accordance with the Borough Council's standards could not be satisfactorily achieved without the the dwellings being positioned further back on the site with a consequent reduction of the amount of private amenity space to an unacceptable level).
