1.	Policy HOU19 of the Deposit Version of the Great Yarmouth Borough Wide Local Plan states that extensions and alterations to dwellings will be permitted where the privacy and amenity of neighbours are adequately safe- guarded the amenities of the adjoining dwelling are not prejudiced and they do not result in an overdevelopment of the site's curtilage. The proposal to provide a first floor extension across the width of the property is contrary to the objective of the plan in these respects does not give due regard for residential amenity and the environment.
