The proposed sign would, because of its size and location above fascia level, constitute a visually obtrusive feature which would detract from the appearance of the building and be detrimental to the visual amenities of the area.Furthermore approval of the sign,which relates to the activities carried on in a building situated on the seafront,would create an undesirable precedent for the display of other similar signs elsewhere in the town the cumulative affect of which would be detrimental to visual amenity.
