The proposed formation of a post office within the existing forecourt building is considered to be an inappropriate location for such a use, which would be likely to generate considerable pedestrian activity and would lead to conflict and danger between users of the post office and vehicles manoevring on the forecourt of the filling station. In addition the proposal will lead to incresed pedestrian activity in the vicinity of the roundabout to the detriment of highway safety.
