| 1. | The proposal would result in the loss of a building which, by reason of its
size and positioning on this narrow thoroughfare, contributes to the
character of Back Lane. The Borough Council, as Local Planning Authority,
considers that the demolition of the building, with the resultant detriment
to the character and appearance of the Conservation Area, is premature
until such time as sufficient information has been submitted to the Council
to demonstrate that the site may be redeveloped in such a way that the
character of the area would be improved and enhanced. |
