The proposal is contrary to the provisions of the Great Yarmouth Borough- Wide Local Plan in which there is a presumption against caravans being used for residential purposes in the countryside unless justified by a long term requirement for agriculture, forestry, organised recreation or tourist facilities and if approved would create an undesirable precedent for similar development outside the designated areas of settlement which would be prejudicial to the Plans objective to safeguard the character of the countryside.
