7.NOTES - Please read the following notes carefully:- a) The applicant's attention is drawn to the attached letter from the National Rivers Authority and the need to comply fully with their requirements. b) The Norfolk County Council's Director of Planning and Transportation has indicated that South Quay is a Class II classified road and identified as a 'main distributor road' for industrial and other traffic in the most recent revisions to the N.C.C's. Route Hierachy. It is the subject of a 'protected road scheme' which has not been rescinded, but on which no detailed work to identify formal improvement lines has been carried out.Since the site is located at one of the narrowest points on the existing road network the property might be affected, unless the widening necessary to achieve a satisfactory highway design can be obtained entirely on the eastern side of South Quay.Such schemes are subject to at least annual review and whilst it is unlikely that the improvement will be implemented within the next five years there can be no guarantee that this will not happen within the time period; particularly if any further large scale economic development activity were to be promoted in the South Denes area.
