| 1. | There is no evidence to suggest that the Oak tree (TPO No.9 2016) - T1 (Oak) is not in good health. The Tree Officer's comments confirm that removal of branches to property boundary is excessive and not sound arboricultural practice as per BS3998:2010 - Tree Works Recommendations. The proposal will also exacerbate the existing imbalance of the tree and adversely impact its existing significant visual amenity, given that the tree is highly visible from within the immediate locality. Consequently, the proposed works lack sufficient justification, would not benefit the tree and would adversely impact its existing visual amenity value. Therefore, the proposed works are REFUSED on the points raised above as the application fails to comply with Core Strategy (2015) Policies CS09 and CS11 and Local Plan Part 2 (2021) Policy E4. |
