| 1. | The consent hereby granted shall expire at the end of 5 years from the date of this decision.
The reason for the condition is: -
To comply with Regulation 14 (7) (b) of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 2007. |
| 2. | The development shall be carried out in accordance with the following plans and documents:
- Location Plan: drawing reference: 8546 P01
- Proposed Elevations: drawing reference: 8546 P07 Rev.C
- Proposed Signage: drawing reference: 2483-01 Rev.3
- Proposed Signage: drawing reference: 2483-02 Rev.3
- Proposed Signage: drawing reference: 2483-03 Rev.3
The reason for the condition is:-
For the avoidance of doubt, to confirm what has been approved and in the interests of proper planning. |
| 3. | The level of illumination of the illuminated signs/letters and digital media display shall not at any time exceed the thresholds contained within the Institute of Lighting Professionals (ILP) guidance document PLG05 - The Brightness of Illuminated Advertisements 2015 (5000cd/sqm during daylight and 600cd/sqm at night). For the avoidance of doubt, there shall be no displays of illumination of any more than 600cd/sqm at any time after dusk on any day.
The reason for the condition is:-
In the interests of highway safety, visual amenity and maintaining the character and appearance of heritage assets and their settings, in accordance with Core Strategy (2015) Policies CS9, CS10, CS16 and Local Plan Part 2 Policies A3 and E5. |
| 4. | The minimum display time for each advertisement shall be no less than 10 seconds and there shall be no special effects (including noise, smell, smoke, animation, flashing, scrolling, strobing, intermittent or video elements) of any kind whatsoever before, during or after the display of any advertisement. No images that resemble official road traffic signs, traffic lights or traffic matrix signs shall be displayed at any time.

In the interests of highway safety, visual amenity and maintaining the character and appearance of heritage assets and their settings, in accordance with Core Strategy (2015) Policies CS9, CS10, CS16 and Local Plan Part 2 Policies A3 and E5. |
| 5. | The interval between successive displays on the digital display screen shall be no less than a 2 second (minimum) fade and the complete display screen shall change without visual effects (including swiping or other animated transition methods) between each advertisement.
The reason for the condition is:-
In the interests of highway safety, visual amenity and maintaining the character and appearance of heritage assets and their settings, in accordance with Core Strategy (2015) Policies CS9, CS10, CS16 and Local Plan Part 2 Policies A3 and E5. |
| 6. | The following conditions shall also apply: -
a - No advertisement is to be displayed without the permission of the owner of the site on which they are displayed (this includes the highway authority, if the sign is to be placed on highway land);
b - No advertisement is to be displayed which would obscure, or hinder the interpretation of, official road, rail, waterway or aircraft signs, or otherwise make hazardous the use of these types of transport;
c - Any advertisement must be maintained in a condition that does not impair the visual amenity of the site;
d - Any advertisement hoarding or structure is to be kept in a condition which does not endanger the public; and
e - If an advertisement is required to be removed, the site must be left in a condition that does not endanger the public or impair visual amenity.
