| 1. | Parts A and B of Condition 6 have been discharged under previous applications 06/20/0626/CD and 06/20/0626/CD. Part C requires that prior to occupation of the development, the site investigation and post investigation assessment be completed in accordance with the programme set out in the approved archaeological written scheme of investigation. It also requires provision to be made for analysis, publication and dissemination of results and for archive deposition to be secured.
The following documents were submitted with this application:
- Covering Letter, dated 31st July 2024
- Written Scheme of Investigation, produced by Broadland Archaeology, dated November 2020 (related to condition 6a).
- Risk Assessments and Archaeological Method, produced by Broadland Archaeology, dated November 2020 (related to condition 6a).
- Archaeological Informative Trial Trenching, produced by Broadland Archaeology, dated May 2021 (related to condition 6b).
- Email from Historic Environment Officer to Applicant, stating he is happy for condition 6 to be discharged in its entirety, given Broadland Archaeology's has ceased trading (related to condition 6c).
Both the consultation response and email from the Historic Environment Officer clearly sets out their approval of Condition 6 being discharged in Full given the requirements of part 6c cannot now be fulfilled by the original Archaeological contractor. The lack of results from the informative trial trenching reinforce the Historic Officer's recommendation. Therefore, in the circumstances relative to this matter, Condition 6 can be discharged in FULL. |
