| 1. | Part A of Condition 3 requires the submission of an archaeological Written Scheme of Investigation before the commencement of any development can take place.
The application was supported by:
-Written Scheme of Investigation for a programme of Archaeological Mitigatory Work (informative trial-trenching), prepared by Cotswold Archaeology, November 2023.
Sufficient information has been submitted to satisfy only Part A of the condition, therefore the condition is discharged in PART only. The submitted information is acceptable but is hereby only Partially Approved as the proposal satisfies the submission element of Part A of Condition 3 only. The condition is discharged in part and cannot be discharged in full as the development must take place in accordance with the approved details.
Accordingly, Parts B and C of Condition 3 of planning permission 06/22/0546/F are not approved and remain undischarged to ensure that the development takes place in accordance with the approved Written Scheme of Investigation.
Notes:
1) Whilst Part A is discharged, all construction works on site can only take place once trial trenching for that area has been surveyed and recorded as shown in Figure 3 of the Written Scheme of Investigation, in accordance with the the methodology as set out in the Written Scheme of Investigation.
2) The applicant and developer are advised that a further phase of fieldwork will be required following the current trial trenching, which shall need to be defined in an Addendum report to the approved written scheme of investigation (WSI). Therefore development work should not begin until that further mitigation has been decided and the addendum to the WSI approved. |
