| 1. | Condition 6 states: -
The vehicular access indicated for improvement on Drawing No. 03 Rev. A shall be widened in accordance with the Norfolk County Council residential access construction specification for the first 5 metres as measured back from the near channel edge of the adjacent carriageway, the details of which are to be submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority prior to any works to the access. Arrangement shall be made for surface water drainage to be intercepted and disposed of separately so that it does not discharge from or onto the highway carriageway.
The reason for the condition is: -
To ensure construction of a satisfactory access and to avoid carriage of extraneous material or surface water from or onto the highway in the interests of highway safety and traffic movements.
This discharge of condition application was supported by:
a) Proposed Site Plan - Drawing No.8 - Feb 2023
The supporting document clearly indicates the existing dropped kerb will be removed and the proposed dropped kerb will be widened in accordance with the Norfolk County Council residential access construction specification and also shows Aco type drainage channel connected to SW soakaway.
County Highways raised no objection.
Condition 6 can be discharged in PART as whilst the submitted details are satisfactory and are hereby approved, the remainder of the condition is that the development has to be undertaken in accordance with the approved details.
Condition 7 states: -
Prior to any works in relation to the widening of the access, details of the area to be provided within the site to enable two cars to park, turn and re-enter the highway in forward gear shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. This area shall be laid out, demarcated, levelled, surfaced, drained as approved and be retained thereafter available for that specific use.
The reason for the condition is: -
To ensure the permanent availability of the parking/manoeuvring areas, in the interests of satisfactory
development and highway safety.
The application was supported by a proposed site plan, showing parking area, turning area and drainage.
County Highways raised no objection.
Condition 7 can be discharged in PART as whilst the submitted details are satisfactory and are hereby approved, the remainder of the condition is that the development has to be undertaken in accordance with the approved details. |
