| 1. | The Local Authority have determined that the trees are of good condition and have a good remaining retention span, along with fairly high public visibility and offering a valued contribution to public amenity and the character of eh area. They are visible from several directions being in a built up area of the town and the amenity of the area is enhanced by the trees' presence, which soften the surrounding built development and help to integrate the urban environment better into the landscape. It has not been sufficiently demonstrated that there are signs of possible damage to the wall and its surroundings or anything that may be detrimental to the condition of the trees that would justify their removal at the expense of the impact to the character of the area and general public amenity. No justification or arboricultural evidence has been submitted which would demonstrate there is a requirement to remove the trees. Therefore Objection is made to the felling of the trees. |
