| 1. | The proposal would introduce into the most public part of the site a trailer shelter in materials that are not part of the local context (including and most particularly the corrugated sheet roof) which would be set forward of the general line of development, and with insufficient space for any meaningful softening or screening the structure of utilitarian appearance. This is considered to conflict with the Adopted Great Yarmouth Core Strategy Policy CS9 which expects development to respond to, and draw inspiration from the surrounding area's distinctive natural, built and historic characteristics, such as scale, form, massing and materials, and saved retained Policies HOU18 and BNV18 where development should be in keeping with the existing dwelling and the character of the area, as well as conflicting with the emerging policy Local Plan Part 2 policy A2: Design. |
