7.STATEMENT OF POSITIVE ENGAGEMENT: In dealing with this application Great Yarmouth Borough Council has actively sought to work with the applicant in a positive and proactive manner.
8.NOTES - Please read the following notes carefully:- The Environment Agency advises the applicant may need an environmental permit for flood risk activities if they want to do work in, under, over or within 8 metres from a fluvial main river and from any flood defence structure or culvert or 16 metres from a tidal main river and any flood defence structure or culvert. Applications and further information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/flood-risk-activities-environmental-permits. Anyone carrying out these activities without a permit where one is required, is breaking the law. The development should not increase flood risk elsewhere and should incorporate sustainable drainage systems. The SuDS Manual C753 is available free on CIRIA website. The Environment Agency recommend that the occupants of the units are registered with their free Flood Warning service, Floodline Warnings Direct. Any new permanent caravans should conform to current BS3632:2005 being more energy efficient and having a suitable heating system. Provision of educational material within the holiday accommodation to inform guests of the presence of the Special Protection Area's and how these can be enjoyed and protected as stated in paragraph 5 of the Habitats Regulations Assessment dated January 2020
