1. | The development shall be carried out in accordance with the details contained in the application forms and signage details received by the Local Planning Authority on 1st November 2019.

2. | The level of illumination of the illuminated signs shall not at any time exceed 200 cd/m2. No part of the source of the illumination shall be directly visible to users of the adjacent public highway.

3. | The proposed signs shall be finished and thereafter retained in non-reflective materials.

To avoid undue distraction to motorists and to avoid possible resemblance to and confusion with bona-fide road signs. |
4. | No part of any sign shall encroach within the highway boundary.

5. | The proposed signs shall not resemble official traffic signs with regards to colour or format.

6. | The illuminated advertisement signs shall comply with the guidance and recommendations of the Institution of Lighting Engineers "Brightness of illuminated Adverts" Technical Report No 5.

7. | The lighting shall be static and not intermittent to avoid distraction of trunk road users.

8. | REASON FOR APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION :-
The proposal meets the criteria of saved Policy BNV22 of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan. |

This development involves signs that may affect the public highway. The applicant should note that Norfolk County Council as Highway Authority reserves the right under the general provisions of Common Law and Section 152 of the Highways Act 1980 to seek the removal of any sign causing an obstruction or nuisance, or which obscures or hinders the ready interpretation of a road traffic sign.
It is the applicant's responsibility to clarify the boundary with the public highway. Private structures such as fences or walls will not be permitted on highway land.
