| 1. | The retention of the new compressor units in the elevated location above the existing shop front with the conseqent recurrent operation of the units gives rise to an adverse impact on the residential amenities of the occupiers of the nearby residential properties and prevents the full enjoyment of their private amenity areas and creates unacceptable noise levels particularly during the night. Additional the installation is considered unacceptable in terms of its siting and appearance. Consequently, in the absence of a full noise attenuation assessment of latent noise levels and measures to mitigate any perceived nuisance, the Local Planning Authority is of the opinion that the proposal is contrary to Policy BNV18 and Policy SHP8 criteria (C) and (D) of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan. |
| 2. | NOTES - Please read the following notes carefully:- The applicant is advised that a fully acoustic survey should accompany the further submission which is necessary to regularise the situation and consideration should be given to relocating the installation to a less prominent location. |
