1.	On the basis of the submitted detail and the structure erected on the site, the car port which is located in a prominent location, is of a scale, form and design which the local planning authority considers to be out of keeping with the existing dwelling and represents overdevelopment of the site resulting in a cramped form of development and one that will have an adverse overbearing impact upon the outlook and enjoyment of the neighbouring property and the locality, the development is therefore considered to be contrary to Policy HOU18 of the Great Yarmouth Borough Wide which seeks to control inappropriate development.
2.	Insufficient information has been provided for the remaining portion of the development and as such a full and proper assessment can not be carried out; the applicant has not provided full details of the height when complete nor the locations of the openings. The size of the car port in this location would cause an overdevelopment of the front of the site. Because of the reasons outlined above the development is contrary to Policy HOU18 of the Borough Wide Local Plan.
