1. | The level of illumination of the illuminated signs shall not exceed 800 cd/m2. No part of the source of the illumination shall be directly visible to users of the adjacent public highway.
The reason for the condition is :-

2. | The proposed sign shall be finished and thereafter retained in non-reflective materials.
The reason for the condition is :-
To avoid undue distraction to motorists and to avoid possible resemblance to and confusion with bona-fide road signs. |
3. | REASON FOR APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION :-
The proposal meets the criteria of Policies BNV22 and BNV25 of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan. |
4. | STATEMENT OF POSITIVE ENGAGEMENT: In dealing with this application Great Yarmouth Borough Council has actively sought to work with the applicant in a positive and proactive manner, in accordance with paragraphs 186 and 187 of the NPPF. |
5. | This development involves a sign that may affect the public highway. The applicant should note that Norfolk County Council as Highway Authority reserves the right under the general provisions of Common Law and Section 152 of the Highways Act 1980 to seek the removal of any sign causing an obstruction or nuisance, or which obscures or hinders the ready interpretation of a road traffic sign.
