1. | The development hereby permitted shall be carried out in accordance with the application form and plans (Drawing Nos. 043-P-SITE and 043-P-ADVERT) received by the Local Planning Authority on 20th December 2012.
The reason for the condition is :-
For the avoidance of doubt and to ensure the satisfactory development of the site in accordance with the approved plans. |
2. | The level of illumination of the illuminated sign shall not at any time exceed 500cd/m2. No part of the source of the illumination shall at any time be directly visible to users of the adjacent public highway.
The reason for the condition is:-
In the interests of highway safety. |
3. | The proposed sign shall be finished and thereafter retained in non reflective materials.
The reason for the condition is:-
To avoid undue distraction to motorists and to avoid possible resemblance to and confusion with bona-fide road signs. |
4. | The sign hereby permitted shall not be illuminated outside the following hours:
Monday to Saturday - 07:30 hours to 10:00 hours and 15:00 hours to 18:30 hours
No illumination on Sundays.
The reason for the condition is :-
In the interests of the visual amenities / residential amenities of nearby properties and to avoid light pollution. |
5. | REASON FOR APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION :-
The proposal meets the criteria of Policies BNV22, BNV25 and BNV27 of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan. |
6. | NOTES - Please read the following notes carefully:-
This development involves a sign that may affect the public highway. The applicant should note that the Norfolk County Council as Highway Authority reserves the right under the general provisions of Common Law and Section 152 of the Highways Act 1980 to seek the removal of any sign causing an obstruction or nuisance, or which obscures or hinders the ready interpretation of a road traffic sign.
