| 1. | The proposal to add a substantial side and rear flat roofed extension to the property is in the opinion of the Local Planning Authority unnacceptable, due to its siting close to the Oak tree which is protected by Tree Preservation Order No.13 1999 and would impinge on the Root Protection Area, as recommended in BS5873:2005 thereby compromising the integrity of the root system to an unnacceptable degree. This tree is of special interest and amenity value which makes a significant contribution to the character of the settlement and the extension if permitted would have a significant impact on the intergrity of the root system and could lead to the ultimate loss of this tree to the detriment of the visual amenities of the locality. |
| 2. | Notes for the applicant The applicant is reminded that two Oak Trees on the site are the subject of Tree Preservation Order No.13 1999 and is reminded of the need to ensure that the necessary consents, from the Council, are in place for works to or in the vicinity of the trees protected by the Order. |
