1. | The proposal involves the erection of a structure on land outside of, but adjacent to, the public highway. It is considered that this structure will cause a visual distraction to highway users and will endanger the satisfactory functioning of the local highway network.
Furthermore, the sign will cause a proliferation of signs in the locality and be visually obtrusive in the open landscape of the surrounding area.
For these reasons the Borough Council considers the application to be contrary to Policies TCM13, NNV2, BNV22 (Criteria (A),(C),(D) and (F)) and BNV25 of the adopted Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan. |
