| 1. | The proposed car park would be served by a long and narrow access road which includes a right angle bend, this combination of a sharp bend and the narrowness of the road would result in poor forward visibility for drivers using the road and insufficient room for vehicles to pass. The proposed formation of a new car park to serve the church is therefore considered by the Local Planning Authority to be an unacceptable form of development that is likely to give rise to difficult conditions for vehicles accessing and exiting the new facility. In addition to this the new car park is considered to be contrary to Policy NNV2 of the Borough-Wide Local Plan in that the car park would be an unacceptable intrusion into the open countryside and would result in a loss of agricultural land. |
