1.	The proposal to introduce a family entertainment centre into a former industrial building in an area zoned for employment purposes in the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan, is considered by the Borough Council to be an unacceptable use of the premises as the proposed use would not be compatible with the industrial character of the area and the surrounding uses in the locality. The use would therefore be likely to lead to an influx of leisure traffic in conjunction with the use giving rise to potential conflict between traffic serving the premises and the surrounding employment uses. The proposal is therefore considered to be contrary to Policy EMP2 of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Plan. Furthermore the proposal is considered contrary to Planning Policy Statement 6 which seeks to guide such entertaiment type uses to be located in or close to town centres and no information has been provided to demonstrate that premises in the town centre have been considered.
