| 1. | Within one month of the date of this permission a scheme of landscape works for the areas of the site adjacent to the boundary fences hereby permitted shall be submitted for the approval in writing of the Local Planning Authority. The scheme shall include details of the numbers, size, species and spacing of trees and shrubs, and arrangements for their protection and maintenance. It shall be carried out during the first planting season (October - March inclusive) following its approval and shall make provision for:- (a) the protection and maintenance of any existing trees which are to be retained on the site; (b) re-planting where failures or damage occur within a period of five years from the date of planting; and (c) the replacement of any damaged or dead trees with trees of similar size and species at the next appropriate season. The reason for the condition is :- The site is located in a prominent position adjacent to Newport Road where soft landscape works are a visually essential requirement to enhance the appearance of the area. |
| 2. | INFORMATIVE NOTE :- The applicant should be aware that this permission does not purport to convey consent for any encroachment on highway land which, if found to be the case, would be likely to result in enforcement action being taken. |
| 3. | REASON FOR APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION :- The Borough Council considers that, subject to the above condition, the proposal represents an acceptable form of boundary treatment. |
