| 1. | The proposal, which involves a further sub-division of a plot that has previously been sub-divided, would amount to a cramped form of over-development which would cause serious harm to residential amenity in terms of the relationship that would result between the new dwelling and adjacent property. In particular, the proposed bungalow would, by virtue of its height, length and close proximity to the neighbouring dwellings, have an overbearing and oppressive effect on the outlook from those dwellings, the occupiers of which would also suffer a significant loss of daylight and/or sunlight. Consequently, the Borough Council considers that the proposal is contrary to Policies HOU15 and HOU17 of the adopted Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan. |
