| 1. | The proposal, which involves the development of an area of land formerly for the sale and repair of caravans, constitutes a layout of land which would which would cause significant harm to the residential amenities of the adjacent dwellings in terms of the realtionship between the chalet bungalows and the existing properties. In particular, the siting of the dwellings which would be in close proximity to 12, 14 and 16 Byron Way, would adversely effect the living conditions of the occupiers of those dwellings by reason of loss of privacy and the overbearing effect of the dwellings by virtue of the close proximity to the boundaries of the site. The Borough council considers therefore, that the proposal is contrary to Policies HOU7 (criteria A and E) and HOu15 of the adopted Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan. |
