| 1. | Policy NNV5 of the adopted Great-Yarmoth Borough-wide Local Plan states that in areas shown on the proposals map as landscape important to the setting of settlements, the Council will only permit development provided a developer can demonstrate essential need or that the development would not impinge on the physical separation between settlements or give rise to any other significant adverse effect. Policy NNV7 states that the Council will protect the remainder of the countryside outside the areas shown on the proposals map as being of landscape interest by permitting only those proposals that are in keeping with the rural charcater of the area. In this instance the proposal involves an expansion of holiday development beyond the confines of the existing site into open countryside. The Local Planning Authority therefore considers that the proposal would have a significant adverse impact on the area contrary to Policies NNV5 and NNV7 of the Local Plan. |
