1.	Policy REC1 of the adopted Great Yarmouth Borough-wide local Plan states that planning permission for sports and recreational facilities will be granted provided certain criteria area met including:- c) the approach roads serving the development can accommodate satisfactorily the traffic likely to be generated by the development and d) the development or associated activities would not be significantly detrimental to the residential amenities of those living in the area. The Local Planning Authority consider that light pollution from the proposed floodlighting would have an unacceptably intrusive impact on local residents and the extended evening use of the sports pitch, afforded by floodlighting, would result in significant disturbance of those living in the area by reason of noise and the increase in vehicular movements along Lynn Grove. The proposal would therefore not meet the requirements of criteria c) and d) of the above mentioned policy.
