1.	The proposed installation of a steel staircase at the rear of the building, result in an unduly prominent feature which would be detrimental to the character and visual amenities of the street scene and would be visible for a considerable distance across the King Street car park. The proposal is also considered to be contrary to Policy BNV10 of the Adopted version of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan in that the stairway would result in an undesirable projection from the rear of the building detracting from the appearance of the buildings, some of which are Listed Buildings and would detract from the character and setting of these buildings in the Conservation Area.
