| 1. | The proposed erection of five houses and conversion of part of the remaining building to two flats, making a total of seven new dwellings with no car parking on what is an awkward and restricted site, would be an overdevelopment leading to a loss of residential amenity to the occupiers of adjoining dwellings. The proximity of the proposed flats to an existing workshop operation would also result in a poor quality of environment for the prospective occupiers of those dwellings. The proposal would therefore be contrary to Policy HOU15 and Criteria (A) and (E) of Policy HOU7 of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan which seek to safeguard the form and character of settlements and protect the amenities of the occupiers of adjoining dwellings. |
