The proposed extension is considered by the Local Planning Authority to be excessive in terms of height and length with poor fenestration and balcony detailing and is out of keeping with the existing dwelling and would be a over dominant feature in this prominent location in the Broadland landscape and is therefore contrary to Policy H11 and B11 of The Broads Local Plan 1997 which only permits development appropriate to its setting and in keeping with the scale and character of the existing dwelling.
