1.	The proposed extension is contrary to criteria (i) and (ii) of Policy HOU18 of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan 2001 in that it is considered by the Local Planning Authority to be out of keeping with the design of this pair of semi-detached houses and that the addition of a first floor extension abutting the boundary would be an unneighbourly form of development by virtue of overshadowing and loss of visual amenity to the occupier of the adjoining dwelling.
