1.	The proposed extension would, by virtue of its excessive overall projection in front of the main wall of the building and the width of the site, result in an unduly prominent feature which would be detrimental to the character and visual amenities of the street scene, particularly as the front wall of the existing building is set back from the front main walls of nos. 7 and 8 Marine Parade. Furthermore the proposal is considered to be contrary to Policy BNV 10 of the Adopted version of the Great Yamouth Borough-Wide Local Plan in that it is considered that the proposed extension would result in an undesirable intrusion into the views of the Royal Hotel nearby and would detract from the character and setting of this listed building within the nearby Camperdown Conservation Area.
