| 1. | The proposed flag pole sign would, by virtue of its size, style, positioning and illumination, constitute an unduly conspicuous and discordant feature in this pleasant village setting close to the Holy Trinity Church and cemetery, and would thereby be detrimental to the character and appearance of the area. Consequently, the proposal is, for these reasons, considered to be contrary to the provisions of Policies BNV22 and BNV25 of the Borough-Wide Local Plan (adopted by the Borough Council on 23rd February 2001). |
