1.	Having regard to the significant reduction in the width of the existing plot and its limited depth, it is considered that the size of the proposed extension is excessive and constitutes an over-development of the site. If approved, the proposal would result in a cramped form of development which would be out of character with the adjacent, more open layout of land and the more modest bungalows on the east side of Barn Lane and thereby detrimental to the form, character and setting of the settlement and in conflict with Policy HOU 7 of the Modified Deposit Version of the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan.
