1.	The site is a prominent location within the attractive Broads village of Stokesby where residential development would be acceptable in principle provided it was not detrimental to the form and character of the settlement and was of an appropriate scale and design for its setting in accordance with Policies H1 and B11 of the Broads Local Plan. This outline application does not provide adequate information to judge whether this proposal is likely to comply with these policies which would be better met by a comprehensive scheme incorporating the site of the adjacent vacant property with detailed designs which fitted in with the character of the surroundings.
2.	Visibility from the proposed site access would be severely restricted in an easterly direction and would be likely to result in conditions detrimental to highway safety.
